OKTO Red Appelation: Protected Geographical Indication Crete (P.G.I. Crete)
Varieties: Kotsifali, Mandilari and Syrah. The grapes used for vinificating OKTO all come from carefully selected higher altitude vineyards of central Crete, with Northern exposure. Those vineyards are the modern successors of the millenia-long winemaking history of Crete.
Young, floral flavors of Syrah provide a gentle introduction to teh tougher, gamier aspects of the local Kotsifali and Mandilari. The spicy blend is plummy, with a rustic, chewy texture.
Best consumed at a temperature of: 17 -18° C. Awards:
