Lyrarakis Vidiano

Lyrarakis Vidiano "Ippodromos"
Protected Geographical Indication Crete
White dry wine / barrel-fermented

Varieties: 100% Vidiano.

One of the most promising Greek white varietals, “Vidiano”, grows on the island of Crete, where it originates from. Targetting the production of a wine that will bring out the distinctive characteristics of the variety, we chose grapes from the “Ippodromos” vineyard. The unirrigated low-yield vineyard lies on the top of a mountainside, at an altitude of 610m, and is exposed to the beneficial mountainous winds.
The variety expresses its aromatic and taste potential in this wine, while the discreet oak presence adds spice and vanilla notes in perfect balance with the fruity aromas. The mouth is rich, balanced, with a piquant aftertaste.
Consumed at 12 °C.
